My First Mistake With The Bizpack Contact Manager

Well, I never claimed to be a computer geek! The Bizpack Contact Manager allows you to import your contacts from other contact management systems. My contacts are in Microsoft Outlook.

Kind of like the kid who plays with a new toy before he reads the directions, I attempted to import my contacts without fully understanding how the import process works. Boy was that a mistake!

I wound up with three sets of my clients information. I had roughly 800 contacts in Outlook. That means I have to manually delete 1600 contacts! Fun.

Here is some advice for my fellow Bizpack suite of service users: attend the webinars and watch the videos provided by United First Financial so that you do not make the same mistake I did.

My First Use of the Bizpack Marketing System

On Monday I used Bizpack in my mortgage broker business for the first time. I used the e-mail broadcast feature to send a mortgage market update to 25 real estate agents here in the Burlingame area.

The task was pretty simple, even for a technologically-challenged person like me! First, I clicked on "real estate agent" from the choice of statuses I have in my contact manager.

Second, I picked the e-mail template that I had set up for the mortgage update. I then typed in the info I wanted to send to the agents.

Finally, I clicked on send, and I had contacted 25 agents in Burlingame with one e-mail!

I am planning on using the e-mail broadcast feature to inform my clients and business partners about mortgage rates, new programs, late-breaking news, etc. This feature can be used by any business to easily keep in front of their customers. Is there anything more important than staying in front of your customers in business?

The Bizpack Suite of Products - A Great Toolbox For Small Business

Bizpack is a new product from United First Financial. It is a suite of services designed for small businesses and home-based businesses.

Bizpack has several services rolled into one: contact management, database marketing, web meeting, and a tax deduction tracking system are some of the services included.Purchased separately these services would be much more expensive than the fee charged for this bundle of services.

I am real excited about Bizpack! Future posts will be about how it works, and how I have incorporated it into my business.
